ZISU Participated in the Georgia Education Exhibition and Sino-Greece Higher Education Cooperation and Research Seminar

 

From February 18 to 19, sponsored by the Provincial Department of Commerce and the Provincial Department of Education, China (Zhejiang) International Education Services and Negotiations Conference was held in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. Liu Bo, Commercial Counsellor of Chinese Embassy at Georgia, Tamaz Marsagishvili Vice Minister of the Georgian Ministry of education, Irakli Lekvinadze, vice mayor of Tbilisi, Hu Weikang, deputy director of the Provincial Department of Commerce, and Lan Jingjing, Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Office of Province Education Department, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

 

In order to do a good job in characteristic propaganda, ZISU recruited Georgian foreign students to be image promotion ambassadors and particularly printed brochures in Georgian, with its booth highlighted the elements of Chinese culture, which attracted 300 people to consult. In Georgia, ZISU representative accepted the on-site interview by FM radio JAKO, which ranked first in Tbilisi, and visited Tbilisi State University and Tbilisi Free University and its Confucius Institute with the delegation, and conducted extensive contacts with Georgian universities on the content and form of intercollegiate exchange and cooperation.

 

Sino-Greece Higher Education Cooperation and Research Seminar was held in February 23rd in Athens, Greece. Zou Xiaoli, the Chinese ambassador to Greece, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education of Greece, Egaleo mayor, and the President of Greek Economic Commission attended the seminar and delivered speeches. This is the largest and highest standards educational exchange activities between China and Greece in 43 years of established diplomatic relations. In the seminar, ZISU representatives had group round table discussion with more than 10 local colleges and institutions, such as University of Athens, Athens Education College of science and technology, and Texas Democritus University, in contents of the arts and humanities, economics and management. ZISU and the Greek universities discussed profoundly about student exchange, delegation reception, course cooperation, students practice, project development based on characteristics and curriculum advantages of both sides.
